Snow Branch is getting an exciting new look! Spotsylvania County has contracted for new carpeting for the entire branch. This is the final phase of renovations that began last year when the county painted the branch with fresh, new colors.
New carpet is already in place in the majority of the branch, but some old tile was uncovered in a few of the rooms and needs to be removed before they can finish the project. As a result, the Snow Branch will be closed February 5-11 and will reopen on February 12th with fresh new carpet throughout!
If you visit on the 12th, you will get a behind the scenes look as County staff moves furniture and shelving into place, and library staff puts materials back on the shelves of the impacted rooms.
While the outside book drop at Snow will still be available, the rest of the branch will have to be closed. However, during this time, our other branches will be fully operational and available for you to check out materials, use a computer, get homework help, or drop off donations for the Friends of the Library.
We hope you’ll stop by after February 12th to admire the new look. Thank you, Spotsylvania County, for helping us keep the branch beautiful!
