The Cooper Branch has undergone an amazing makeover! Our thanks to local author Sherryl Woods for generously donating proceeds from her book, A Small Town Love Story: Colonial Beach, Virginia, to Central Rappahannock Regional Library for the express purpose of revitalizing and refreshing Cooper Branch.
New seating, fresh paint, and a 55-gallon fish tank are just the beginning of the improvements. The children’s department has new shelving, inviting chairs, benches, and a cozy reading nook for young readers, plus, interactive educational panels for toddlers.
Teens can enjoy Xbox game systems and a charging station for laptops and tablets, and adults have new soft seating throughout the branch. The conference room boasts a 70-inch flat-screen TV, perfect for Cooper's bi-monthly Cinema Night or for local meetings.
To celebrate, we invite you to see for yourself all of the wonderful renovations at the Cooper Branch Open House on Tuesday, May 1, 4:00-6:00. Refreshments will be served.
