About Colleen
Books and libraries have always been a part of my life!
My first library experience was as a customer at the Fredericksburg Branch. As they say, the rest is history.
When I was 12, I became a volunteer, which I did through my college years. I went to the University of Virginia, where my first job was working at the Fiske Kimball Fine Arts Library.
After I graduated from UVA with a BA in Environmental Science, I was hired by CRRL as a page, but within a year I became a member of the Fredericksburg Youth Services Team.
Since I am familiar with libraries, I know exactly what keeps me entertained: reading! Everywhere I go I have at least one book with me and the type of book can depend on the day.
One day I might be reading a children’s mystery book, the next a teen romance, and the next day I am working through an adult fiction series. To say, I have varied interests would be a vast understatement, which is a good thing for you! If you need a book on any genre then odds are I have read at least one of them.
