One day, a jug of milk and a bottle of juice fall in love, but their love story is not smooth sailing. Juice leaves the refrigerator first, when all of its juice is gone, and goes to the recycling bin. Thus begin Milk and Juice’s recycling adventures as they try to reunite when they become different containers. The question for readers is, will they meet again, or are they doomed to miss each other?
This is a good picture book to read aloud to a class, especially to introduce the topic of recycling. Students will be interested to know whether Milk and Juice will be together again. School Library Journal suggests that it is appropriate for preschool to third grade.
