About the Judge
Betsy Glassie
Beauty in Nature can take our breath away, focus our senses and transport us out of the ordinary into the sublime. I love finding those images that touch my spirit and sharing them in paint.
I’ve been exhibiting my work for many years in Virginia and DC venues. My subject has always been inspired by nature-gardens, florals and landscape have been my muse--working both in the studio and Plein air.
Early education at the Corcoran in DC and continuing art studies with UMW, and VCU were my formal training, but I believe an artist never stops learning.
